PET-G

One of the most popular materials of LADA-LIST Ltd. is a plastic sheet produced on the basis of thermoplastic polyester-polyethylene terephthalate (PET-G). With the use of modern equipment, our products are of high quality and full compliance with the required specifications.

PET-G PRODUCTION

For the production of PET-G, we apply flat-slot die extrusion technology. This allows to produce sheets of different thickness and dimensions. If necessary, we laminate both sides with protective plastic film. The both sheet surfaces are worked by corona discharge (activated), and they have a high surface tension that promotes uniform printing by offset and screen printing methods. Applicative self-adhesive films of all types are perfectly applicable on a PET-G sheet.

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MATERIAL

Widespread PET-G sheets have got a number of unique properties:

  • luminous transmittance is 90% even on the sheets with a thickness more than 2 mm;
  • high strength at impact and bending loads;
  • the ability to save properties at subzero temperatures;
  • possibility of machining (cutting, milling, drilling) processing;
  • accuracy of details geometry received by material thermoforming;
  • resistance to water, diluted acids, diluted salts, fats and oils.

PET-G SHEETS FEATURES

Thanks to the possibility to total control over the formation of the crystalline structure, a PET-G sheet is far ahead of the A-PET, PVC, polycarbonate, PMMA sheets on a range of operational properties and that is why nowadays transparent, white and lacteous PET-G sheet has become the optimal material for the manufacture of screens, sales shop-windows, displays and protective glazing. A-PET (polyethylene terephtalate amorphous) polycarbonate, PMMA sheets do not have the printing qualities and impact value that PET-G sheets have, and transparent PET-G sheet’s light translucency is better than that of most other polymers, including transparent ABS. Demonstrative manufacturability of PET-G sheets is also important to count, especially when the sheets are processed by vacuum, pneumatic and mechanical thermoforming, which allows us to manufacture products with complex geometric shapes and shorten the duration of the process.
Plastic sheet from polyethylene terephthalate glycol is characterized by good impact resistance in a wide temperature range, high transparency, good resistance to fats and mineral acids, opportunity of high-quality printing, good ability to bending, good formability (even for complex configurations).
